I am concerned about the use of the online testing system. I think some time needs to be spend making the online testing system and eservices in general more user friendly. And how will cadets test if there is not direct access to the internet?
hmm... If your doing an online based system, just how easy will it be? Ive had experiences of spending 45+ minutes on the phone walking a cadet through on how to access his GES, his 101 card, and updating his tasks. I'm hoping for DCC's sake everywhere that you make this easier then the current e-services.
This will be interesting. I am a cadet that joined about five years ago. This is much more advanced than anything we have. I will gather a consensus with my cadets to determine if we will switch over to this system.
Brian's right. At one point, we wanted to let cadets work through the text in any order, but as the project unfolded, we realized that too much of the content required a building block approach. Therefore, we switched gears slightly. Cadets will study Learn to Lead in sequence (1, 2, 3...) as they do with today's leadership text.
When this project was first announced, it was suggested cadets could take the tests in any order they want, like the current AE curriculum. Will the new tests still be sequenced by chapter, or can a cadet take them in whatever order they want?
Wow!! I've only been able to briefly read-over the new modules, but they look great! They are many steps beyond the texts we currently have- I wish we had these when I was a cadet. I look forward to implementing the new material in our squadron next year.
I can't wait to read it!
